Methyl Bromide & sulfuryl Fluoride Fumigation Treatment for BMSB & DAWE
Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) pose a high biosecurity risk if established in Australia. This pest has the potential to eradicate much of Australia’s produce. Preventing an incursion is a high priority for Quarantine and the logistics industry.
Any shipment loaded offshore post September 1 – Arrival May 31 requires mandatory treatment Offshore or Onshore.
AFS are here to give fumigators and the industry a much needed helping hand so we can all stay on top of the sheer volume of containers requiring treatment saving your clients money reducing dwell time and potential detention.
We look forward to hearing from you,
AFS Team.
Sulfuryl Fluoride Detection
(DAWE)
Department of Agriculture Water and the Environment (DAWE) require industry to arrange a Sulfuryl Fluoride Detection prior to a Biosecurity inspection to ensure fumigant levels are safe and below the current Safework Australia Workplace Exposure TLV-TWA < 3ppm.
AFS have a dedicated daily SF Detection Service. Please book below or contact for pricing and further information.
Methyl Bromide & Sulfuryl Fluoride Detection (Private)
How do you know if the fumigant levels are safe in the container your colleagues or labour hire are about to deconsolidate?
Short answer, You don’t!
Fumigants are TOXIC and POISONOUS and just as important they are Colourless, Odorless, and Tasteless meaning you have no way of knowing if you are poisoned until it’s too late.
If you do not have the correct monitoring equipment to detect fumigant levels you can never be sure the container is safe to unpack.
AFS are here to help put your mind @ ease and save potential health and safety incidents. AFS have the equipment and PPE to detect all fumigants used for Quarantine treatment.
We will provide you with a Gas Free Certificate post any detections.
Please book below or welcome to contact for pricing and further information.
